“Vehicle Routing and Scheduling in Oil and Gas Offshore Operations”

Dr. Irina Gribkovskaia

CENIT Seminar

In this course we focus on vehicle routing and scheduling problems for cargo and people transportation arising in planning of supply vessels and helicopters activities servicing oil and gas offshore installations. Supply vessel planning on strategic (annual), tactical (weekly) and operational (daily) levels is very complex due to the combination of delivery and pickup services, limited deck area at installations, multi-commodity nature of demands, periodic service requirements, installations closed at night, uncertainties regarding weather conditions, and tradeoffs between economic and environmental objectives. Helicopter routing for people transportation to and from installations offshore is considered from the risk minimization objective.
