Dr. FRANCESC LÓPEZ RAMOS
Dr. Francesc López Ramos has been a Project Manager since 2019. He previously worked as a full professor at the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT), researcher at Center for Innovation in Design and Technology in Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (México), assistant professor at School of Transportation Engineering in Pontifica Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (Chile).
Dr. Francesc López holds a PhD in Statistics and Operational Research from UPC-Barcelona Tech and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and an undergraduate degree in Electronics from the UAB. His PhD thesis in Conjoint design of railway lines and frequency setting under semi-congested scenarios won the international mention with excellent cum laude. In 2017, he was endowed chair in CONACYT, and he has recently obtained the distinction of SNI-1 at the National System of Researchers in Mexico. He is specialized in Applied Optimization to Transportation problems and Logistics with a record of 12 publications in SCI journals such as IJPE, EJOR, or COR. He has also led several international projects in Chile and Mexico, and collaborated in national competitive projects from MINECO.
He lives in Barcelona with his wife and enjoys traveling and learning other cultures.
