Resum:
The possibility of introducing passenger trainsets on commercial services operating at speeds of between 300 and 350 km/h is currently being analysed. The first line in the worlds where, from a practical point of view, this level of performance will be introduced for the first time, is currently being constructed between Madrid and Barcelona (Spain), nearly 630 km long. A speed of 350 km/h is expected to be achieved a the end of 2004 between Madrid and Lleida, and in 2005 between Lleida and Barcelona.
The aim of this communication is to present the vertical and lateral stress results obtained during the tests carried out, with the new Talgo 350 train, recently acquired by Spanish railways. The practical results obtained, at a maximum speed of 360 km/h, have been compared with the forces measured for the first generation high-speed trainsets at 300 km/h.
In a parallel direction, the communication also outline the criteria adopted to limited the impact of track-vehicle interaction, for the new line at 350 km/h. This paper aims to discurs the optimum value of both, the vertical stiffness of a high.- peed track and the baseplate between the rails and the sleepers.
