Presentation by CENIT’s director The aim of CENIT is to contribute to the improvement that transport brings society along by meeting people’s mobility demands and by satisfying their accessibility needs. In a five-year period CENIT has become one of the most important research centers at a national level and it is already beginning to widen its horizon and working abroad in international projects. CENIT has a young, enthusiastic and dynamic research team working hard to improve urban collective transportation operations , railways, traffic, airports and ports; to plan multimodal accesses and services; to study road pricing schemes; foresee the travel time and the behavior of the demand as users of transport infrastructures; to study in depth the calculation of these infrastructures to improve the assignment of public resources and the service society receives. Our contributions stand for articles in SCI journals and conferences, books and research project reports. CENIT also organizes seminars and training courses ad hoc. Most of this scientific production can be downloaded from our website. We hope this website helps you to get to know us better and it becomes a useful tool.
