Resumen:
This paper provides a proposal of a methodological approach based on the integration of vehicle routing and dynamic traffic simulation models which emulate the current traffic conditions providing at each time interval the estimates of the traffic state at each link of the road network. The information, generated by the microscopic simulation tool is used by a real time fleet manaement system in order to determine the optimal dynamic routing and scheduling of a fleet taking into account time-dependent travel times.
