Sergi Saurí – Project Manager of CENIT
Sergi Saurí holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia and he is also an Economist from the University of Barcelona. He joined CENIT in January 2007. He had previously been working at an engineering company (SENER, Engineering and Systems, Inc.) carrying out studies and projects in different fields of transportation. His PhD thesis ("Optimum modeling and regulation of the concessions of container port terminals") proposed a canon and tariff system to improve both the technical and economic efficiency of the container port terminals. Since July 2004 he also lectures in Transportation at the Department of Transport and Territory Infrastructure at the UPC. In 2008 he was a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the author of many articles, some of them published in SCI journals.
