Josep Maria Torné – Researcher CENIT Josep Maria Torné Santos is an MSc. Industrial Engineer with the Intensification of Transport and Vehicles by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He is currently pursuing the Master's Degree in Logistics, Transport and Mobility (UPC). He joined the CENIT-Transport Innovation Center in 2008 after working in the field of engineering consulting and developing railways projects on high speed. To date it has developed various R & D projects on issues of traffic management and transport operations on public and private companies. Since 2011 is PhD Candidate in Engineering program and transport infrastructure of the UPC. In the same year, is staying at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), hosted by Professor Nikolas Geroliminis, progress in the development of his doctoral thesis, entitled "Strategies for active management of the metropolitan highway traffic." His research papers have been presented at various national and international conferences in the sector leaders.. His research lines include:
